The first group of tickets for the highly anticipated North American dates of Beyoncé's world tour are going on sale Monday, with Ticketmaster still facing intense scrutiny.
“It is seen as the first major test for Ticketmaster since the company’s system was overwhelmed by demand for Taylor Swift tickets late last year,” BBC News reporter Chloe Kim writes. “Ticketmaster apologized to Swift and her fans last month.”
On Monday, the entertainment company posted several times to its varied social media accounts in anticipation of the ticket pre-sale.

Ticketmaster reportedly confirmed it has changed its process for the U.S. leg of the tour, which kicks off in July.
In the lead up to the pre-sale on Monday, fans were asked to register for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan process. “The deadline to register was Sunday, and those that managed to do so ahead of time will be entered into a ‘lottery-style process’ if demand outstrips the number of available tickets,” Kim explains.
The company added that some who registered will be placed on a waiting list.
