UGA women’s tennis hosts, wins SEC tourney

The 6th ranked University of Georgia women’s tennis team claimed its tenth Southeastern Conference Tournament championship after knocking off Number 12 Texas A&M at UGA’s Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Facility on Sunday.

• Georgia has now won seven-consecutive matches with six coming via sweep (31-1 combined score).

• Georgia has now won three SEC Tournament titles in the last four seasons.

• The Bulldogs have now defeated the Aggies three times in 2024 (4-2 on Feb. 11, 4-3 on March 15, 4-1 in April 21)

• Georgia have now won the SEC regular season and tournament championships in the same season for the sixth time in program history.

• The SEC Tournament Championship victory marked the first match inside the new Lindsey Hopkins Indoor Tennis Facility for the Bulldogs.
