With only 80 days left until the University of Georgia kicks off the 2016 football season in the Georgia Dome against the University of North Carolina, take a moment to Know Your Bulldogs.
The No. 80 jersey hanging up in the Bulldogs locker room belongs to junior wide receiver Charlie Hegedus. Though beginning his collegiate career in the ACC at N.C. State, Hegedus now provides depth to a recently thin wide receiving corps in Athens.
While the UGA wide receivers are mostly an unknown entity, Hegedus should benefit from already being in Athens for two seasons, and perhaps gelling with some of the other position players and at least quarterbacks. If there ever were a time and opportunity for him to rise above the scout team - where he contributed in 2015 - this season may be it.
