Temperatures will be very cold through the weekend -- and it’s cold enough to cause some roads to ice over.
Any snow that’s still left on the ground from Christmas will likely stick around as temperatures will hover in the 20s and 30s overnight into Saturday morning.
Sandy Springs officials said a water main break caused part of Johnson Ferry Road from Abernathy to the Chattahoochee River to ice over. Crews say to use caution as “black ice is probable in that area.”
City of Atlanta crews have been working on a water main break all day and JOHNSON FERRY RD FROM ABERNATHY TO THE RIVER IS ICED OVER from the water flow. Crews are treating, but use caution as black ice is probable in that area.
